Ignacio Pérez Pérez

Venezuela/Finland

Born in Venezuela in 1984, Ignacio Pérez Pérez is a visual nomad. His work explores phenomenological reality as a long journey to arrive here, where we are. In the context of his practice, he creates experiences rooted in ritualistic playfulness and worldly contemplation that allow him to observe and encounter otherness, which is in a permanent state of transformation in the realm of everyday life. His artistic practice intersects diverse fields such as performance art, walking, street photography, and networking. His favourite quote from Robert Filliou is “Art is what makes life more interesting than art”. Ignacio currently lives and works in Helsinki.
