Alejandro Sajgalik

An interdisciplinary artist and energy worker, Alejandro Sajgalik is a descendent of restless blood. His practice honors the transformative potential of transient deep-rootedness, and explores the possibility of total movement within hybrid works that take the form of dance performances, videos, experimental music and writings. Drawing from his experience with somatic movement, queerness, architecture, intimacy, and holistic bodywork, he dives into deep listening as a channel towards releasing ancestral conditioning and de-identifying his body from its memory. In his current artistic process, Alejandro attempts to build a bridge that links a peak mystical experience to the feelings of insatiability that find solace in addiction, thus highlighting Western society’s spiritual wasteland through the unveiling of the archetype of the seeker.
